diploma. After qualifying the written exam, the bank clerk will be appointed as
a Trainee Officer (TO) and later can become Probationary Officer (PO).
2. Merit Basis Process
In merit basis process, the bank clerk should
have minimum of two year service as a clerk with a JAIB and CAIIB diploma
conducted by the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF). The candidate
has to be a graduate or post graduate from any recognized university.
There are seven scales in
officer cadre, after becoming Probationary Officers (PO) and these seven scales
are:-
- Scale 1 – Officer / Assistant Manager
- Scale 2 – Manager
- Scale 3 – Senior Manager
- Scale 4 – Chief Manager
- Scale 5 – Asst. General Manager
- Scale 6 – Deputy General Manager
- Scale 7 – General Manager.
